Pref = Preference - this is the final night of recruitment and is the night that you decided and rank which chapter you want to be in of those you attend "pref" events for.
Rec = Recommendation or Reference - this is sent in by an alumna to their sorority for a women going through recruitment. It is can be just a filled out form or an actual letter, similar to something you would put in a resume.
