Sounds like either they don’t know you or you haven’t gotten to know any of them. Either way, it’s possible you’ve allowed them to draw their own conclusions about you, without any input from you.
Also, keep in mind that being talented is cool, but it doesn’t take the place of persistence. Unsuccessful men with talent are pretty common. IMO, persistence and determination alone carry much more weight than anything else, especially when it comes to striving for something you want that you also feel is worth having.
You also play basketball for your own enjoyment. I think that’s great, but the way you should see brotherhood and any kind of bond you share with someone else — the things you do for yourself no longer exist, when you are nonexistent. But the things you do for others lifelong will become and remain what you’ll be remembered for. Try to keep that in mind, too.
