The girl is a stupid twit. If the Other Woman were anything blonde, short, fat, wears glasses, she would have found a reason to hate her. The problem is as soon as it's race it's a whole different thing. And I'm not letting her off the hook for likely being more stupid than racist because regardless, she's both.
And the reason it matters more about her sorority affiliation than the band is because the band doesn't choose it's members based on values. Sororities do. It is not a hard leap to say she's a racist and they chose her, therefore they're all racists. Yes, I know that's not fair, but that's not a question the band has to answer.
And this is why when you make a pledge to a sorority, you need to nip being stupid on record. Quit tweeting stupid shit, quit making raunchy videos, quit getting in bar fights when everyone knows what sorority or fraternity you're in. You're a grown up. Act like it. And don't be racist.
