That is helpful to know. I was under the impression that there wouldn't be a last-minute vote just before initiation. If that is the norm, then perhaps it was more of the brotherhood that voted against him than he was told.
In any event, he is doing ok. I think time will allow him to decide what is best for him. His mom and I have no intention of stepping in. He is a strong kid and as I told him.... one day this will be a bad memory and a character building experience. Frankly, it was the fraternity's loss.
