First an opinion, then an answer. I think that denying an org from taking pledges does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to end its hazing problem. It makes the org smaller and more insular, with the members continually feeding each other's perception of "we've been @#$%ed!", when a fresh new pledge class could bring a new perspective. It makes them look horrible on campus, so even if there are women who could get in there and revitalize it, a lot of them don't try. And as Jake said, a lot of current sisters get disgusted and quit. The way to remedy this situation is with a CLOSELY WATCHED by the nationals or the Greek advisor pledge program. Preventing an organization from taking pledges is like dragging out the torture when the school just doesn't have the balls to derecognize the organization.
OK, now for my answer...it depends on the sorority if they would follow the sanctions. Would other Greeks report them? Unless the ENTIRE greek community thinks this sorority is destroying the system and taking away all their pledges, I doubt it. No one wants to be the snitch.
