75 years ago today, Alpha Sigma Tau petitioned the National Panhellenic Conference for membership.
Under the leadership of Third National President Carrie Washburne Staehle, this petition marks the beginning of Alpha Sigma Tau's commitment to the Panhellenic community. However, it wasn't until 1947 that the Sorority, along with six other AES (Association of Education Sororities) organizations, became associate members of the NPC. Full membership was granted in December 1951.
