I was going to mention the Hope scholarship as an incentive to remain in GA for those women who didn't quite qualify for the free rides at Alabama. Alabama is definitely reaching out to the out of state highly qualified applicants however. They were even at our high school's college fair. They were the only school from a state that didn't actually border Michigan who came. When my son told the women his stats, she started on the hard sell. In the end, he decided the school was just too big and too far from home, even it would have been totally free.

Also, when you have a free ride due to merit, those sorority dues don't seem all that expensive!
