These guys seem like they are refusing to take the blame for what happened. By claiming the fraternity is dissolved and therefore are no long a 'group', they are backing down from taking responsibilty for what happened. The phrase
It's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt sounds very appropriate in this situation.
While it's true that it is each individuals decision to intake alcohol and overdo it, isn't it your friends and brothers/sisters responsibility to take care of you and prevent things like this at all costs?
