I'm a little unsure of their intent. If this was some sort of attempt at fratire, it could possibly be well played and high fives could even be in order for getting the general public worked up about nothing..
If this is truly reflective of their internal culture, they ought to be shut down right now.
On a side note, I'm aware that Pike is a flat-fee insurance fraternity. In other words, whether you're a 25 man chapter or a 200 man chapter, every chapter pays the same flat $15,000 or whatever in annual liability insurance regardless of track record or individualized risk or chapter size or anything.
Perhaps the lack of any financial incentive to, for example, maintain alcohol free housing or be able to get rid of members who pose a safety concern isn't really doing these groups any favors?
I'd really be interested to see whether these flat fee groups have a higher claims rate than other groups.
