NPC/AES Members that are Defunct
I am curious about a few defunct NPC and AES members.
I know that Beta Gamma was founded at the University of Colorado but I have no clue when. Actually, all I know is where it was founded. Does anyone know who absorbed them?
I have down the following defunct/absorbed previous NPC members or associate members:
Alpha Delta Theta ab. by Phi Mu in 1939.
Beta Sigma Omicron ab. by ZTA in 1964.
Beta Phi Alpha ab. by DZ in 1941.
Theta Upsilon ab. by DZ in 1962.
Iota Alpha Pi which dissolved in 1971.
Lambda Omega, an associate member that was ab. by Theta Upsilon in 1932.
Phi Omega Pi which was ab. by DZ in 1946.
Sigma Phi Beta ab. by Phi Omega Pi in 1933 and was an associate member of the NPC in 1933.
Delta Sigma Epsilon ab. by DZ in 1956.
And than there are the AES members.
Theta Sigma Upsilon ab. by AGD in 1959.
Pi Delta Theta ab. Delta Sigma Epsilon in 1940.
Pi Kappa Sigma ab. Sigma Kappa in 1959.
the illusive Beta Gamma??
And than there are some other sororities that I think may or may not have been NPC or AES members and I would love some assistance with them as well.
Alpha Kappa Psi. All I know is that they were founded March 1, 1900 at St. Mary's School and dissolved in 1915. Their publication was called The Trigonon and it was a secret publication.
Eta Upsilon Gamma which was founded Nov. 1901 at Christian College. Their motto was "Be Strong in the Truth" and their publication was The Adamas (1909).
Sigma Iota Chi which was founded Dec. 1903 in Alexandria, La by two alums of St. James and St. Xavier's and was absorbed in 1915...
And finally Phi Mu Gamma which was founded Oct. 17, 1898 at Hollins College and was absorbed in 1915. This sorority eventually became a high school sorority and honorably dismissed all the college chapters.
I have read the other threads about absorbed/defunct NPC's but I am more curious about the ones above that are not mentioned.I believe the few above were NPC's because they were mentioned in a book by Sarah Ida Shaw as Junior NPC members...
