Two NPC women awarded Chi Omega National Achievement Award - History Post
I knew Carrie Chapman Catt won the National Achievement Award given by Chi Omega, but I did not know much about the award, other than Eleanor Roosevelt presented it to her at the White House. So I went right to the source and asked Lyn Harris, the Chi Omega Historian, for more information.
Two NPC women were given the award, Sigma Kappa Margaret Chase Smith, the first woman to hold a seat in both houses of Congress, and Carrie Chapman Catt, a Pi Phi, who was a stalwart in the suffrage movement.
