I think by reading the "Questions" thread, you can come up with ways to show your interest without spellng it out the moment you step into a house or to the first few girls you meet. Sometimes people can mistake interest for being overeager. I hope the actives on GC will help you with the "how and when" of communicating your "feeling comfortable" with a sorority. From the old threads, there were tips to let them know you had a strong interest without coming on too strong.
