Perhaps at your owl chapter a lot of the pledge process went under the rug (as in you did some stuff you would never tell others) and this new chapter doesn't do that. Although I don't agree with everything in this post, I do agree that if your chapter is on the fringes and you bring your traditions with you, it is more likely the second chapter will be adversely affected.

Every organization has untouchable chapters. If your chapter doesn't have the same cachet, it is you that will be made example of for the very same traditions.
