Tom, the AM pins are pretty much free. The cost is covered in the AM fee.
I've heard a lot of horror stories about Joe the ELC (I can't spell his last name, so I'm not even going to try). Most of the current SAC members have had him, and I hear I'm very lucky that I haven't.
