California is a community property state so, whether they were married 10 years or 72 days, Vanessa would still get half since they don't have a pre-nup.
10 years, however, is considered a "long-term" marriage in California. That means that, when calculating
spousal support, that the court cannot terminate spousal support on a specific date. She's never had a career, so spousal support will probably last longer than if they had been married 5 years and she had been a stockbroker beforehand.
