You guys are all jumping down my throat for no reason. And really, I don't know what your goal was except to take this thread to this place where it is.

So I was told to "shut up" so I should sit in my lane. Just because I was a Past President of an NIC group doesn't mean my head was in the sand when dealing with other fraternities or sororities. The several tradegroups interact on a National Level (some such as NALFO, NPHC and NIC even overlap..most NALFO & NPHC fraternities are cross-members in the NIC), and in fact some NPC Executive Directors have even joined the FEA, the Fraternity Executives Association. The reason I, in the hypothetical example, suggested a non-NPC group if the NPC groups weren't ready for extension of a new organization is because a non-NPC group wouldn't typically (typically now, not in all circumstances), have to go through Panhellenic to get recognized. Those Sororities also offer a valid sorority experience with rituals and traditions as old as many of the NPC organizations.

I did say I have experience in Greek Life, I don't think that's a bad thing. I also don't think that it would be bad for you guys to share your input or experiences.

"Good luck with your expansion efforts?" I am not doing this as a way to promote my organization, just as a way to help people out who want to start a new group.

The reason I say, DON'T go to the school first is because the stock answer for many campuses when it comes to starting a Greek system is "no." So unless you have the interested group of students and some national backing behind you, it is very easy for a new campus administrator to brush off a student that goes to see them.

Yea, I put my fraternity email out on the other thread link. I'll live with the consequences.

No one is saying anyone fell off the turnip truck. However, Alpha Frog saying a man can't advise about sorority issues, is tantamount to reverse sexism. Does that mean that NPC groups don't allow male faculty advisers for their chapters? Just saying, that is the road it seems you guys are traveling down. I know several men who advise NPC groups.

There is a lot of similarity that exists, whether you choose to believe it or not, between the different Greek Organizations that are out there, and what those organizations have to deal with in regards to campus politics in order to get their chapter on campus.
