I feel like strapless is inappropriate for weeding, regardless of the color. First, there's the increased risk of sunburn. Second, you're going to be yanking it up all day, and that's hard to do if you're using a wheelbarrow or anything like that to help. A nice cap sleeve in a neutral color to match your garden accessories would be a better choice. You could pick a nice pair of stand-out gloves to really give it a pop of color.
