Ah, I see - and again, it's not a specifically-"Tyler Perry" thing, directors and even producers are often attached to their projects specifically (DrPhil's James Cameron example earlier is a particularly illustrative one, because James Cameron sucks, yet gets full billboard space), but something that you notice after time.
