Songs that WERE in the movie that I can't hear without thinking of the films:
- "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel - Say Anything
- Wouldn't it Be Nice" by the Beach Boys - 50 First Dates (yes, it came out half a century earlier, but that scene with Adam Sandler on the boat just gets me every time!!
- "God Only Knows" by the Beatles - Love Actually
- "Your Song" originally by Elton John - Moulin Rouge (Ewan McGregor did a cover of the song in the film, and he's "owned" it since!)
A song that wasn't in the film, but reminds me of it:
"These Boots Were Made for Walking" by Nancy Sinatra reminds me of Down With Love (starring Ewan McGregor and Renee Zellweger). |
Isn't that the Beach Boys? It does it to me, too! I want that played at some point of my wedding!
And of course, "Shout" reminds me of
Animal House!
