Love this show! Looking forward to it coming back. I hope they don't kill off Joan for the reasons you mentioned- if they do, they'll also have to find another strong female lead in the army to fill that void.
Every time we see a scene with Emmalin and she's talking about missing her sister Amanda, my husband & I always laugh and say "but you didn't know her!". Have to love replacing actors mid-show. Not that they're the first to do so, nor will they be last... but we still get a kick out of it.
