Chi Upsilon Sigma Wraps up Sisterhood Conferences
New York, NY (02/12/2010) --- Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Inc. just wrapped up undergraduate conferences nationwide. Each year, active undergraduate and alumnae members of the organization attend leadership development conferences sponsored by both the Grand Chapter Board and Regional Boards. The purpose of the conference is to help familiarize members with sorority requirements. There's a strong focus on chapter management, which helps equip members across the country with the tools needed to continue building on the foundation set by our founders.
Some of the workshops themes this year included:
• A Model for Change Within your Respective Chapters
• Successful Event Planning
• Here today, gone tomorrow – A look at the importance of anti-hazing requirements
A special event took place at each conference. We're proud to announce our First Annual Regional Awards Cereomy. Awards were given out for Best Political, Social, Educational and Cultural Programming, Highest Chapter GPA, Highest Sister GPA and individual Academic Achievement awards. The Grand Chapter Board and Regional Board would like to congratulate all of this years winners.
