Series 7 exam?

Hi guys,

I'm a social science major, and I am still in college. I am set on getting a degree beyond undergraduate, but as a "backup,"I have been thinking a lot about taking the exam to become a stock broker -- the Series 7 exam.

Has anyone taken it that can help me out, as far as finding what resources to look through and study in order to pass this? I've tried searching the internet, but with the sheer amount of information (see:spam) that is out there, it has thus far been difficult to sort through it all.

What is the best route to go as far as studying for this thing goes? And also, if you don't mind answering, how marketable is it by itself?
