Where is this song/chant from?
I'm a Sigma Pi alum from Michigan State. We've used this as a fight song/chant for as long as I can remember, but I'm pretty certain a lot of it was heavily borrowed from other places/houses:
"We're Sigma Pi at MSU, we're here for all to see;
a fellowship united, a brotherhood are we;
we raise our beers and spread our cheers to all who pass us by;
and if we ever meet again, you'll know we're Sigma Pi.
Sig Pi, we're the Spies,
We're the one's that never die;
Win or lose, we drink our brews,
just because we pay our dues.
God damn, sonofabitch, Sig Ma Pi.
Drink beer, drink beer, drink beer, God damn, drink beer.
For I won't give a damn, for any old man...
who won't drink a beer with a Sig Pi man.
Go to hell, go to hell, go to hell, God damn, go to hell.
... wow, that looks a lot worse written out. Anyway, if anyone knows where some of this was borrowed from, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance
Jamie
