Just saw where there is discussion on how or what kinds of things are out there for fundraising opportunities and I think I have something that would work for the college fraternity and sorority community. I work in the online tax preparation industry and we could easily do a fundraiser for any group that is interested or willing to put the word out on doing taxes online. We are going to be competitive in the industry by being under the pricing of tax cut or turbo tax or the like. We will only charge 29.95 for a tax return for a college student that will include federal and state to be e-filed and have a direct deposit done into your checking account. On top of that we will give for every tax return done a rebate of 10.00 to the fraternity or sorority that referred the customer. We setup the link to put on your website or print off cards to hand out on campus which will have the site address on it and be built so that we can keep up with who gets credit. Taxes have to be done and a college student could save alot just by doing their taxes online instead of going to a tax professional who would charge on average 150.00 when you can do it for 29.95.
