Oh, girls
This Saturday I spent a lovely brunch in a hotel banquet room on the water with Pi Phi's from SDSU and alumna from chapters all over the country! Two women received their diamond arrows, commemorating 75 years of membership! It was amazing to share the Pi Phi memories of "panty raids, serenades, house pranks, and meetings with their future fraternity husbands." In fact, some of the alums had met every week for I believe 40 years to play bridge! We also heard of generations of legacies and pins that were passed down from relatives who pledged before the turn of the century! Many collegiates teared up. It was a sight to behold so many generations with solidarity stemming from the same bonds of wine and blue that we celebrate each day of our lives. Sisters, take this time to smile and hold your head a little higher. You are a Pi Beta Phi.
