Dear Bethechange: I DO know your school. But I do not know anybody who can help you or harm you. I deperately wanted you to succeed. I know that it is EXTREMELY difficult for Sophomores at your school, period. I suspect that your experience was largely shaped by the fact that you are a Sophomore. There is a small much more informal Spring Rush. Not all sororities participate in it. I think that there is a formal one and a very informal one where one of your girlfriends might just approach you. Also I'm pretty sure that there is some form of snap bid after this formal Fall rush is over. Remember maybe some sororities were so picky that they didn't get the number of girls they needed. There are sites on here which are tracking which sororities had x number of bids accepted. The more knowledgeable women on this site can direct you about how to go after these things in general. Concurrently with checking out these things go to your school's student life--office of campus programs & organizations. There are non Greek organizations which you might enjoy.
