Using "THE" before Ohio State University seems more like a school pride thing to me, and not so much a football thing. There are a lot of OSU's out there -- and if they want to refer to themselves as such, what's the harm in that? I could have sworn I read somewhere that "The Ohio State University" is also the official name of the school. My sister Benzgirl can correct me if I'm wrong.

I know you're just speaking outta your ass here, but if they keep winning games and earn their way to a BCS bowl berth, then so be it. I doubt TPTB will ban them just because they can't win a BCS bowl game.
