I'm wondering though if a gold digger thought cancer = death = inheritance! If they're married, he could change his will to leave everything to her (I guess he could do this even if they weren't married too). It's terrible but maybe that was her reasoning for getting engaged.
It's been said on blogs that Kara did indeed drop out of Berkeley, but I haven't heard anything about where she is going now. Didn't she originally want USC but didn't get in? They must have a tougher admissions process than I thought- she was valedictorian! Kara's description of the students at Berkeley was hilarious.
