I remember a thread from eons back where this girl said she was suicidal and wanted someone to give her a reason to live. I couldn't believe she a) came to GC for it and b) expected someone to talk her down right then and there. What if no one opened that thread for like a day? It had to be a joke, there's just no other way. Same with someone in a weight loss thread who was on her way back to her "cycle of bingeing/starvation." Really, what she was looking for when she said that, I'll never know. If it was sympathy, she sure didn't get it...
