We wore our pledge pins whenever wearing a dress shirt - that's pretty much the easiest way to draw the distinction. Since we have formal dinner on mondays that was the main occasion to wear them.

I didn't wear my pledge pin to on-campus interviews for organizations, but I have done so since being initiated with my own badge.
