Of course the Obamas' "pound" and the POTUS's "chest bump" (which was funny to see) are nothing new but are now being done in public by people in positions of power.
The body language expert is smart because she knows that you can't scientifically assume what gestures mean and you have to place them in their proper context. Bush was giving an Air Force cadet a chest bump (that he requested) and Michelle and Barack have a personal "pound" that means something to them. They aren't the only couple who do that or have other gestures that symbolize their love and respect.  |
