Oh yeah...that's what I get for trying to be friendly sometimes.
I'm not used to being places where white men are pursuing black women. So I don't automatically act standoffish like I do with black men who I don't want to be bothered with.
Friendly white people + friendly black people + maybe some drinks at a nonthreatening/unassuming (noncolleague) social gathering = usually some interesting comments.
How do you know they have thought that about you? They told someone else?
