ETA: I do want to caution you that the majority of people working in Event Management who are successful in their field are so because of their work experience and contacts, and not because of multiple degrees. You aren't going to command a higher salary or attention b/c of a master's-- it may actually close the door on some opportunities, believe it or not. The master's program isn't necessary if you want to work in event management, even if it is international or sports related. You might be better served taking out a loan and that time to work on networking by taking an unpaid internship. Something to think about. Also please remember that the MBA is useless without work experience. A master's degree in a communication-related field is of no use without practical work experience and a clear direction of the career path you wish to pursue.

Thanks for the offer, I will take you up on it

I know that it's nothing without experience. My undergrad program requires an internship, and the place where I am doing mine hires a lot of their interns full time. The main office is in Orlando and I'm hoping I can be hired there rather up in Rhode Island because I want to get away from the Northeastern winters. So I'm hoping if I work for a year then work while going to grad school right now.
