I was associated with the "band-geeks" because most of my friends were in the band. I never felt very popular, but I usually had someone to talk to all the time because our group was huge. After I graduated, I was talking to a guy that I had liked way back when and he told me he always wanted to ask me out. When I asked him why he didn't, he said that I was popular and he didn't think that I would have gone for him. Now why can't they tell you that while you are still in HS??
