I'm on the National Board for my sorority and fundraising is always a hot topic (especially in regards to getting alumna to contribute). While surfing the net and looking at another non-profit, I saw they had a link to
http://www.igive.com in lieu of a standard donation link. Looking through the website, I decided to add my sorority on there as a cause. A couple of days ago I used the website to purchase a laptop and a pair of shoes and got a bit of surprise to see $14.40 raised for my sorority already. Although it doesn't sound like a lot, I personally do a lot of shopping online and so far, no one else from my sorority signed up fo an iGive account. So there's hope
Does anyone have any experiences with iGive? Do the remit the checks in a timely manner (I know it's only after you raise $25 or something and that they are sent out quarterly I believe). Any ideas or experience getting other group members to jump on the bandwagon?
