You'd be surprised -- I would think that there would be girls from Gastonia in the Charlotte Guild Debutnate Club's Ball. And there used to be (and for all I know, may still be) a deb ball in Shelby for girls from all around that area. Plus, there often/usually are at least a few Gastonia girls presented at the Terpsichorean Club's NC Debutante Ball in Raleigh (
the deb ball in NC).
