One of my first jobs in college was a Student Assistant position at the Hawaii Department of Education. My best friend worked in the Assistant Supt.'s office so she had access to the gigantic supply closet.
For some reason, the secretary liked to take her vacations right before the semester started. We'd load up on necessities for school -- folder paper, notepads, pens, line-out, binders, sheet protectors, computer paper, and reinforcements.
Her first day back from vacation was always a hoot. We'd all wait for the "WE'VE BEEN ROBBED!" scream and then we'd have a laugh.
Thank you, DOE, for providing my school supplies.
