I know how everything started...those of us who've been on the board since last summer were victims of the horrible autumn blitz by Becky'n'Barb in which they were so viciously angry that they flamed GCers' every post and when they would get thrown off GC, they'd come back with a new IP and username and more hate. Some of their sessions would start with seemingly innocent questions, some with purposely aggravating statements or questions, and others would start off being evil. They managed to get thrown off several boards and for those who haven't seen it, there's a direct link to GC entitled "Annoy GreekChat" on guess which site.
See, if you weren't here, it'd seem like us "oldtimers" were really nasty, short-tempered people and we're not. It's just that we had to endure months of those 2 trying to rip up this board and start fights because of their grudge against a relatively few people that none of us even knew. Now we tend to react to overly innocent or seemingly stupid posts snappishly because we expect the next posts to start into the familiar pattern of hate. It will be difficult for us to stop after so many months because the pattern got so old...you'd turn on your computer and there would be the filth ruining several good threads, usually posted in the middle of the night.
No one here means to be nasty. We've just become almost paranoid because GreekChat was almost trashed.
