A Clean House is...a rarity?
Guys: How many chapters are currently using cleaning services to keep their houses clean? (OK, enough of the "French Maid" sidebar comments...)
For members of some chapters, it appears that the threat of being fined for not performing house jobs (sweep/mop floor, throw out garbage, etc.) isn't a big deal. They just whip out the checkbook & pay the fine...while the garbage situation doesn't improve.
As a whole, fraternity houses are always going to be messier than sororities...I think it's a chromosomal thing. But I think it's absurd to have a service paid to keep things tidy. And when you take into account the addition of small, furry creatures who like to chew on said garbage, nothing good can come of it.
Aren't we supposed to be learning to be R-E-S-P-O-N-S-B-L-E men when we take the oaths during Rx? How bloody hard is it to swab the deck once a week (or once a month, if you have a lot of members)?
