Exclamation Spring or fall rush?

I am a new freshmen who is very interested in joining a Fraternity. Here at Texas, this years fall pledging has past. I was wondering if it is better to join in the spring or wait till next fall? I know everything is based on school and chapter but would like some opinions.

The benefits of wait till next fall
-bigger pledge class (40+ guys in the chapters im looking at)
-better pledging experiences
-mixers with sorority's

Benefits of spring...
-in the frat quicker
but smaller pledge class (5-10 guys) no mixers
