Bad spelling and grammar =/= internet slang.
I can't speak for others, but I know that when I read a post with poor spelling, I'm less likely to take whatever he/she has to say seriously.
I know that's it's unfair to measure someone's intelligence based on spelling and grammar. I know several intelligent people who just have a hard time spelling because they type too fast.
Bad spelling and grammar bothers me to an extent. However, if that's the impression you choose to make on GC, so be it. Just be prepared to put up with those who decide to give you a hard time about it.
