I love Thanksgiving!
I just put the sweet potatoes and wild rice dressing in the oven. I made sweet potato pie, pecan pie, blackberry cobbler, pound cake, cornbread muffins and yeast rolls yesterday. I also smoked a turkey. Today I'm making oyster dressing, cornbread dressing, greens, green beans, creamed onions, fruit salad, candied sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, and "chitlins" (yes, we always have them for the old folks).
My husband is in charge of frying the turkey, so I have it all seasoned and ready to go. I know it seems like a lot, but we have about 20 people coming over. I can't wait too see everyone (can you tell that I'm excited?)
