Katie interviews Fox:

Katie interviews Fox:

(CBS website)

"I’ve interviewed Michael J. Fox several times before – but never quite like this.

"After all the controversy and publicity and debate about his political ad, and the criticism he got from people like Rush Limbaugh, he really is in the eye of a political storm right now. But when he came to our studio for our exclusive interview, he was remarkably calm. He was also obviously symptomatic. He trembled uncontrollably, and his legs shook, but he explained it was actually a side effect of not taking enough medication. He told me he reduced his dosage because he didn’t want to have dyskinesia, which is the side effect of too much medication, and which causes the swaying back and forth that was so evident in the controversial ad for Missouri Democratic Senate candidate Claire McCaskill. Fox said that he can never tell from one day to the next how serious his symptoms will be. It’s a crapshoot."

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

1 - Fox admits to KC that he was overmedicated when the MO commercial was made.

2 - Fox is not trying to raise funds for research, he's trying to influence voters. He is a flack for a liberal democrat candidate, and what he says is suitable for criticism by Limbaugh, Hannity, or anyone on the other side. Conservatives do not have to take it, they can fight back using all available tools.

3 - Fox's advocacy for embrionic stem cell research is in no way banned or blocked - it's just not financed with federal dollars. Fox's personal foundation has contributed to research, and it is underway in some states and universities.

4 - Embrionic stem cell research to date has not been productive. There are studies showing hundreds of diseases may soon benefit from adult and existing stem cell research - BUT NONE showing any disease benefiting from the embrionic studies. NONE. Just a hope.

5 - A favorite liberal tactics is to throw out some so-called "victims" as a spokesman, and trying to make them immune to criticism and infallible. The 9-11 widows, Cindy Sheehan, and Fox are recent examples. They try to make any response to these "victim spokesmen" into attacks on the poor victims, and I doubt if the conservatives and alternative media (talk radio, internet, etc.) will let it happen.

6 - The liberals don't want to debate the topic - they just want to attack Limbaugh and other conservative spokesmen

In less than two weeks, the only poll that matters will be counted. Will Nancy Pelosi be ordering new drapes, or will she be claiming voter fraud, pointing to polls closed to black voters, and kicking those evil Diebold voting machines.

I urge you all to vote, if you are educated, read newspapers, and watch TV news. If you get your news from John Stewart, please stay home.
