SMoot vs. Smoot

Our Smoot at MIT was used to measure a bridge there in Cambridge in the sixties. When I saw the Nobel Smoot show up it mentioned that he had attended MIT in the sixties. I did a quick search (while not wearing glasses) and found a mention of the Nobel Smoot in the same paragraph with the mention of the LXA Smoot. It was a long, windy paragraph.

Upon closer read it became apparent that the Nobel Smoot from Berkeley was not the same Smoot as our LXA Smoot from MIT even though they were both named Smoot and attended at virtually the same time.
