I actually like the new features a lot. As someone who didn't friend everyone under the sun I like getting updates on the people I have friended. I don't really get why people are complaining about the stalker aspect -- the information it displays was already available to anyone on your friends list and if someone on you friends list wants to stalk you they can just check your profile all the time. If someone is worried about their privacy they can adjust their profile privacy settings, delete things from their mini-feeds and not friend random people.
