I read on Wikipedia that a girl in the UK who has it is still alive, at the age of 18! I can't imagine the pain these people must go through...physical, mental, and emotional.
The video of the baby crying is perhaps one of the most disturbing things I've seen in a while. Reading about it and then seeing it were two totally different things.
