Great post Brother PhrozenGenius
As a Mason and Iota, I often hear some say they are members of the oldest and youngest. This sometimes disturbs me. Yes, we are the youngest that was inducted into NPHC, but there are so many great Black fraternities and sororities that was established after Iota. Each and every org. take part in ribbing other orgs. (some more than others), if done right, it can be a healthy banter. But we must respect all that came before and after us. Brotherhood, sisterhood and service for mankind are the basic foundation with all.
In my eyes, Alpha Phi Alpha is my oldest LIVING brother while paying homage to my brothers who has passed away:
Alpha Kappa Nu-1903-Indiana University
Beta Kappa Sigma-1905-Wilberfoce University
And til I am proven wrong, Alpha Kappa Alpha is my oldest LIVING sister.
However, as Black Fraternal Orgs. WE ALL come from Masonry and OES. Masonically, I can't say we are the Father of all fraternities. We just started this journey alittle earlier than most.
