Hello. I've been reading some of the various posts on various threads and decided to register today.
I just started watching the show and I am a bit confused. I feel like I should have been watching from the beginning. I was so disgusted with the son "giving permission" to those white kids to say the n word. I thought it was deplorable. Whether you're in touch with your heritage or not, it just seems like you would know that was not okay. I feel like his parents should be more disappointed in themselves than in him because clearly they missed the boat on teaching him respect for himself and respect for his people.
