I've been serving as an educator for some 5+ years, it is rewarding when Parents come to thank me -and even my teaching assistant acknowledges that I have helped some child to read. It is gratifying to see the work that my students have produced and their creativity: be it a poem, a play, or a song. It feels good to know that parents see me as a professional when I am willing to go the extra mile for that quote "problem child"and it is gratifying to see the smile on my students faces everyday when they learn something new! Never a dull moment! I have served Alpha Kappa Alpha too through various community service: voter registration, community outreach, and programs of service with High School students. My role model was a Soror from my former chapter who received many awards for her community service and I aspire to be like her one day. I still have a lot of work to do!
