I remember walking around with a permanent scowl for like a week and I was a freshman in high school... y'all I was angry... there was a consciousness I wasnt aware I had... and SHE WAS ONLY 28 WHEN SHE WROTE IT!!!!

I did my senior thesis on this book and Zora Neale Hurston's autobiography, Dust Tracks on the Road. Both excellent autobiographies although Anne's is not as well known.
